For example, the air parcel arriving at OOZ August 3 had spent most ofthe daytime on August 2 travelling along the east coast between Boston and the New Hampshire coast (just north ofNewburyport). The ozone concentration along the trajectory reached over 90 ppb during this day, primarily due to photochemical production consuming most ofNOx picked up earlier by the air parcel over the Boston area. Some fresh injection ofNOx later on that day over the New Hampshire coastal area resulted in the reduction of ozone overnight by titration.

This inc1udes the mean and the standard deviation. A time lagged linear correlation between the observed and the modelIed ozone time series is calculated for these 10 sites.
